How We're Helping Small Businesses Through COVID-19
Due to the unprecedented spread of COVID-19, many of our retail partners have made the noble decision to take preventative measures and close their doors. As you might imagine, this public service comes at an incredible expense to the livelihood of their business and staff.
Local retail is a part of what makes our communities so unique. They give our cities charm and character, and help build brands like ours. In light of recent events, we’ve been asking ourselves: how can we help?
In order to help supplement revenue for these stores while their doors are closed, we’ve decided to take action by providing you with a unique opportunity.
Moving forward, when you shop on our website, you’ll be able to support your favorite local Brownlow retailer in the process. During this time, we will credit that store for your purchase as if it has been bought directly from them.* Here’s how it works:
- Shop as you normally would on Brownlow.com, then start the checkout process.
- On the Shopping Cart page, you will see a section titled “Order Notes”. Enter the name, city and state of the local Brownlow retailer that you want to shop for (Ex: Gene Allen Gifts, Arlington, TX). If your local retailer sent you a code, please enter that in the discount code field on the Check Out page.
- Finish Checkout as usual and we'll mail them a check with their total profits*.
It’s up to us to come together and help our community businesses thrive during these uncertain times. Whether it’s Brownlow products or not, let’s all think about how we can keep our local businesses supported in the weeks ahead. Thank you for your continued support of Brownlow and for helping us #shoplocal.
*SHOP NOW Terms & Conditions: This program will run until further notice. After deducting the retailers traditional wholesale cost from the purchase price of the product, actual costs for shipping, taxes, and merchant fees will be deducted to produce net retailer payout amounts. Funds will be delivered to each retailer within ten days after the close of each month. Assignment of funds, if not clear, is fully at the discretion of Brownlow’s best judgment and no obligation of payment is legally required in case of dispute. To qualify for a payout, the retailer must be an active Brownlow customer defined as a US based independent retailer with approximately less than 10 locations that has made at least one purchase from Brownlow in 2019 or 2020.
